I agree with you that Marc's blog is a fantastic source for anyone who's thinking about starting up a company or for existing startup founders. At
www.intruders.tv our approach is a little bit different because we give the founders an opportunity to express themselves and share their successes and failures. Keep up the good work, I've been enjoying your blog since the beginning!
I fully agree with vincent
Dude,
That IS the best startup blog I have read to date. What I love about him is that he is the last person to mince his words. He goes to extreme lengths to ensure that his experience comes through with the least amount of personal bias attached. In fact, as I write these comments down, I have another tab open with his latest blog feed "The Pmarca Guide to Big Companies, part 1: turnaround!" :-)... Happy Reading and hopefully Happy Minting!
Dharmesh, it has been a while since I last read your blog. Thanks for the references.
As for me, I had to suspend operations of my first startup (ebdex) due to inability of my outsourcing partner to deliver quality software, now provide consultancy to one of my competitors and started the second company with another competitor. And thinking of the third startup. I am also looking at reviving my first startup as a reseller. Do drop in at
http://www.manojranaweera.com sometime.
Vincent, thanks for the lead. Will have a look at your site.
Best regards
Manoj
I agree about the Marc Anderson blog. It is obviously informed by a wealth of experience and put across in a fascinating style.
We are seeking to do something similar in the UK with our
www.talkenterprise.co.uk blog. It is very early days but we all have to start somewhere.
Take a look and offer a comment.

Damn ! Thats too good a admission. After checking Marc's blog, yes, what you said about it makes sense. Also check some of the comments people have made on it especially by David Moss.
Have a look at businesshackers.com and amazingstartups.com
Those might be good choices.
I have been looking again at Marcs Blog.
The thing that strikes me on second reading is the emphasis upon why to start a small business - opportunity. That why I did it. For me the opportunity to be in control and determine what happens in my life is critical. It also helps to motivate in theearly days when the business isn't moving as quickly as you would like.
Remember, this is what it is all about.

Dharmesh, love your blog. I started one with some of my experiences as an entrepreneur.. hope you can visit it some time.
I rate your "Business Geek" article to be one of my all time favs. Keep up the good work!

I have been surprised lately with the quality of his postings too. But there are only so much smart things he can say. Reminds me of Mark Cuban with his Success & Motivation series of posts, which were brilliant. Its exactly what I needed to read to get ready for all those nasty horrible lows from the life of entrepreneur.
There are a lot of jewels out there for all entrepreneurs starting up. We're trying to tell our entire story as it unfolds -- from the first steps, to incorporation, branding, chosing a host, and everthing else we think could be useful or interesting. We hope it'll come in handy to all those who are also in the midst of the startup life.
